Kristy L. Slominski, Associate Professor of Religion, Science, and Health, is a religious studies scholar specializing in US religious history, health humanities, and sexual health education. She recently published The Routledge Handbook of Spirituality, Religion, and the Medical Humanities (2026). Her first book, Teaching Moral Sex: A History of Religion and Sex Education in the United States, was published by Oxford University Press in 2021. She is a former board member of the American Academy of Religion, and she is currently co-chair of its Religion, Medicines, and Healing Unit. She also serves on the leadership board for the Religion, Health, and Humanities Researchers network (RHHR).
